Brief

The 500 staff running Scottish Women's Aid centres and refuges throughout Scotland are in the frontline defending women and children against domestic abuse. They provide information, training, legal advice and physical protection as well as running campaigns and research.

Their printed materials and website are currently undergoing a make-over (watch this space) and needed a library of photos to add visual impact. These photos needed to be vibrant and upbeat, focusing on the positive outcomes of SWA's service, but also be generic and not show any recognisable faces.

Outcome

We decided on a location shoot in the great outdoors, working with open space and nature to emphasize the themes of growth, freedom and unity. We were lucky with the weather and was able to come up with a really vibrant, colourful and positive set of images.
