Brief

Scottish Women's Aid needed a new website to allow for greater communication between member groups while also promoting their services more effectively to the public.

Staff and local groups needed a secure area to share information. They also needed more control over the website content.

The new site was to be launched alongside their new visual identity and printed materials.

Tasks and outcomes

The first task was to come up with a new visual brand for the organisation which could be easily transferred online.

We built a prototype version of the site, which evolved through a series of consultations until the structure and content were established. The final version of the site was then built using the open-source MODx content management system. This gave SWA the control they needed over all elements of the site and made the contents more easily indexed and searchable.
