Managing your content

No sooner is a website published, than you need to update it. The site might have a notice board or a news section. It might refer to your latest publications. Your organisational details might change.

So what are the options for keeping your site up-to-date?

With a small site, we can do this for you. You email us the changes you want to make and we do the rest.

For a larger site, however, this gets cumbersome. What's needed is a means for you to update the site yourself. This is where a Content Management System (CMS) comes in.

What is a Content Management System?

A CMS puts you in control. You no longer have to get us to add every news item or text edit. Instead, you have a user-friendly interface to add and alter text, pictures and other content.

A CMS is more expensive initially, but works out cheaper for you in the long run as there's less work for us to do in maintaining the site.

Training and support

Using a CMS does mean that you need to dedicate staff resources to keeping the site current. Some training is also needed for best results (e.g. to maintain accessibility) and this is something else we can provide.
